Obviously to any penniless student, the word ‘discount’ screams opportunity, and the price reductions offered with the Sonic Card are definitely not to be ignored.

Considering it’s free to join, there’s really no good reason not to sign up and take advantage of tickets for events that cost a fraction of the price paid by ordinary members of the public (poor things). 

Students living for the first time in a major city (or even those who have been here for years) will be amazed at the multitude and variety of musical events on offer, so claiming that you’re “not a fan” of classical music is no longer an excuse!

The value for money alone makes these events an excellent form of entertainment for those of you already running low on bus fare, and an ideal opportunity to introduce yourself to something a little different. You may well surprise yourself!
